Location Atlanta, GA Department Information The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. Since that time, the college has grown into a world-class leader in research and education. The graduate CS program is currently ranked 6th and the undergraduate 5th nationally by U.S. News and World Report. The College consists of five Schools that provide specialized and general computing education to the entire campus. With over 16-degree programs, including its world-renowned online MS in CS, we believe the College to be the largest Computing unit in the United States and, as such, one of the largest producers of computationalist at all levels and of all demographic backgrounds. The College is a part of the Georgia Institute of Technology, a unit of the University System of Georgia and is primarily located in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. Job Summary Provide professional level support services for divisional initiatives, projects, and transactional human resource functions. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Unit management and staff, department staff and HR personnel. This position typically will advise and counsel: Unit and department staff. This position will supervise: N/A. Responsibilities Job Duty 1 - Provide specialized administrative support to unit staff and for all assigned projects Job Duty 2 - Establish schedules, make/oversee arrangements and provide logistical support for unit projects Job Duty 3 - Coordinate and arrange meetings and project materials for distribution, as necessary Job Duty 4 - Design, develop and edit project presentations, agendas, and other related documentations Job Duty 5 - Track and present progress reports, create proposals and other projects related to communications Job Duty 6 - Respond to inquiries regarding Institute and departmental HR policies and procedures, making referrals when appropriate Job Duty 7 - Initiate or process HR-related documents, including new hire packages, job postings, scheduling requests and creating reports Job Duty 8 - Gather and coordinate dissemination of information regarding new or revised HR related policies and procedures within the unit Job Duty 9 - Perform other duties as assigned Responsibilities Provide administrative support for the CoC Scheduling and Undergraduate advising teams. Support the course scheduling and registration processes including: Issuing permits, Building courses, Responding to related email. Assist with advising and scheduling initiatives that support special student populations. Create and distribute surveys using Qualtrics. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Experience Two to three years of job related experience Preferred Qualifications Additional Preferred Qualifications Experience in a higher education environment Preferred Qualifications Intermediate or Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities SKILLS Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to learn quickly, and strong oral and written communication skills.
