Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Position Description: Hospital: CENTENNIAL Medical Center Location: 10 tower Address: Unit Name: 10 tower /NSD Building: Main Building Cost Center:676/678 General Information Unit Specifics: · Number of Beds : 30 22 Acute Care 8 Stepdown · Patient Ratios :6:1 on Acute Care 4:1 on Neuro stepdown · Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): 1 RN Charge is over all of 10 tower, 1-2 Techs and a unit secretary. · Type of equipment: Acute Care side: Vital sign machine, high flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, and various drips. All things stroke. Neuro stepdown: Vapotherm, Bipap, Trachs, titrating cardiac drips. · Documentation system: Meditech · Scheduling requirements: This depends on schedule, Weekends shifts are required. · Floating policy:. Experience nurses can float after orientation. · Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report, personal connection, and daily huddle. Hospital Specifics- · Certifications: BLS for Acute Care BLS and ACLS for Neuro Stepdown. Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Must have : Acute Care strong nursing skills and time management. Neuro stepdown, I would like stepdown experience. Advanced skills needed: Strong critical thinking skills. Procedures performed on unit: The most common are lumbar puncture and chest tube placement. Certifications Required: ACLS and BLS Dress Code : (Required uniform) 10 Tower you can wear black, any shade blue or grey, and any color scrubs on Friday. · Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines. · Awards/Recognition: We offer ICARE recognition, shout out board, and employee of the month.
