Join us at flyExclusive and take your career to new heightsSummary and ObjectiveThe Lead Paint Technician position requires advanced knowledge of the paint process. The job includes varying amounts of general mechanical applications as listed below. Job duties will vary each day and a vast knowledge of strip and paint processes between the hangars is essential.Essential functionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.Notify Manager/Director in advance of shift starting if unable to work for any reason.Overseeing the processes of prepping and painting aircraft per manufacturers maintenance manuals.Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.Sanding, priming, painting and detailing of aircraft.Training of individual team members to ensure quality and safety standards are met.Scheduling with parts department to ensure necessary materials required to complete the jobs are available.Paint shop quality control to include buying off of all processes.Delegation of maintaining the premises of the paint shop and work facilities in a clean and orderly manner.Many duties of the Paint Shop Lead may be delegated by him to qualified subordinates as deemed necessary; however, such delegation does not relieve the tech of the overall responsibility.Any other job-related duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor or Director.Skills and Abilities:Ability to use Air equipment, polisher, and sander.Stripper pump, electrostatic paint guns, pressure posts, and laser level.Being a self-starter who is highly motivated with strong initiativeA valid driver's license approved for airline travelMust have regular attendance and be able to work overtime when needed and potentially work alternate shifts as determined by aircraft schedules and manpower needs.Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised and maintain a rapid pace. Quality oriented.Ability to read detailed drawings and understand renderings. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.QualificationsRequired education and experienceHigh School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.Possess a valid driver's license and US Passport (preferred).At least 10 years current corporate jet experience, stripping, sanding, priming and painting corporate or commercial aircraft or the equivalent.Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, must provide two forms of Federal Identification.Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine the suitability for the position.This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive role under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FAA guidelinesAdhere to all relevant procedures, whether communicated verbally or in writing, when executing assigned responsibilities that involve the utilization of a respirator and undergoing a PFT (pulmonary function test).Preferred education and experienceAssociate's degreeMultiple years of Aerospace/ Aeronautics ExperiencePrevious Management experience
