Job Title: Fiberglass Product Assembler and Machine Operator Job Description Responsible for gluing, assembling, and fabricating fiberglass panels and other products, as well as operating power machines to trim and drill product. Learn to push cross rods through grating to make assembled panels or other products. Learn the various coating, painting, and grit application procedures. In the Shipping department, you will be responsible for getting finished products palletized and ready for shipping. Learn to read an order and fill the order by matching the specified product to the specification. In the Pultrusion department, you will be responsible for keeping the glass racks full and performing basic pultrusion machine operations. Hard Skills Machine Operator Lifting Packaging Work Site This is a fully on-site position in CHATFIELD, Minnesota. Work Environment Physical requirements include constant standing, moderate/heavy lifting (20-50 pounds), and bending. You will be exposed to noise, dust, fiberglass, and resin chemicals due to the manufacturing process of fiberglass. The pultrusion area has a distinct smell. The team size is 5 people per cell, with 45 people on the 1st shift, 45 on the 2nd shift, and 35 on the 3rd shift. PPE required includes safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection. It is recommended to wear jeans and a long sleeve shirt due to the fiberglass. Assembly hours: 1st shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM ($15.10), 2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM ($15.85), 3rd shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM ($16.10). Pultrusion hours: 1st shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM ($15.45), 2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM ($16.20), 3rd shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM ($16.45). Shipping Hours: 1st Shift: M TH 7:00 AM 5:00 PM or Tuesday Friday 7:00 AM 5:00 PM ($15.45). Overtime will be discussed with the supervisor of their department. There are times throughout the year it will be mandatory. Overtime is always offered to those who want extra hours, but it needs to be cleared with a supervisor.
