Certification Details BLS - Basic Life Support ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (due to inpatient Hematology/Oncology specialty) State Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Indiana Job Details Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30). First Time Travelers Accepted; Travel Experience Is Preferred Job Requirements Skillset Preferences: Level 1 Trauma Experience and Oncology Experience Skillet Requirements: Minimum 2 Year From A Large Urban or Academic Health Center Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals Staffing Ratios: 1:4 Unit Information: inpatient Hematology/Oncology and overflow Stem Cell Transplant patient population Schedule Information Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12 - MUST WORK CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period if possible or the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Consecutive weekends may be needed based on operational needs Charge coverage: Unit charge nurse responsibilities may be required Unit Specific Information Unit Information: inpatient Hematology/Oncology and overflow Stem Cell Transplant patient population Additional Details First Time Travelers Accepted; Travel Experience Is Preferred Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses.
