Certification Details BLS ACLS Job Details Specialty: RN 3West Cardiac, Hospital: Parkridge Medical Center, Patient Ratio: 5-6:1, Type of equipment: Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, Philips Telemetry and MP2’s, Documentation system: Meditech-HCA version, Medications: WOW with med drawers, PyxisES dispensing system, General Information: Unit staffing description - Unit clerk on days, 2-3 PCT’s day & night, Nursing Supervisor, Hospitalists, Procedures performed on unit: Chest Tube management, wound vac management, EKG’s ad lib. Job Requirements Requested Skill Set: Cardiac knowledge preferred, Must have: ACLS/BLS, Advanced skills needed: Knowledge of Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips. Schedule Information Scheduling requirements: equivalent of every other weekend (4 weekend shifts/4-week schedule), Floating policy: other M/S areas: general MS, Ortho, PCU (Progressive Care Unit), M/S surgical w oncology. We rotate unless skill mix is needed, Patient Experience requirements: Bedside Rounding, Hourly Rounding with 5P’s checked. Unit Specific Information Unit Name: 3West Cardiac, Number of Beds: 30, Dress Code: RN- Navy and CNA/PCT- ceil blue scrub set and jacket (if desired). May wear white, blue, grey, or black tshirt underneath if desired- no graphics. No artificial or gel nails or gel nail polish, Unit Guidelines/Policies: Documentation of telemetry application, acknowledging rhythm strips and place in chart each shift. NO PASS ZONE for bed alarms, call lights, and IV alarms, etc.
