Heafey Group is looking for a seasoned Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team and lead complex, large-scale construction and capital improvement projects from conception to completion. Job Summary The Senior Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all phases of construction and capital improvement projects, including planning, design, budgeting, permitting, and execution ensuring timely, on budget, and quality completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building management, construction, construction management, leadership, and knowledge of the South Florida construction market. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership : Lead the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Pre-Construction Planning : pre-construction planning, including budgeting, scheduling, and project scope definition. Locating and hiring architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. Construction Oversight : Manage day-to-day construction operations, including contractor and subcontractor activities, ensuring work is progressing according to plan. Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor property level engineers and maintenance teams. Oversee scheduling of group maintenance teams to ensure smooth regular property operations maintenance and completion of capital improvement projects. Vendor & Contractor Management : Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with general contractors, architects, engineers, and suppliers. Ensure contractual terms are adhered to, and work is completed as specified. Budget & Cost Control : Create and manage construction budgets, approve expenditures, and track financial performance against the budget to ensure cost control. Quality Assurance : Ensure all construction work meets company standards for quality, safety, and environmental compliance. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that all projects comply with relevant building codes, zoning laws, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. Client & Stakeholder Communication : Maintain strong communication with key stakeholders, including owners, providing regular updates on project status and performance. Qualifications: Education : Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field. Experience : 8 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use development projects. Leadership : Proven experience leading and managing construction teams, with the ability to guide teams through complex, multi-phase projects. Financial Acumen : Strong understanding of construction finance, budgeting, and cost control measures. Project Management : Expertise in managing all phases of construction projects, from initial planning through to completion. Technical Skills : Proficiency with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar) and a deep understanding of construction methodologies and technologies. Regulatory Knowledge : Thorough knowledge of local building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations. Communication : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders including contractors, designers, and property level teams.
