The successful candidate will be tasked with the strategic identification, development, and execution of research partnerships with high-level corporate entities and other relevant organizations. This includes working closely with academic leaders to align research projects with industry needs and fostering relationships that lead to industry-sponsored research programs. The role demands a high-impact collaborator with a deep understanding of the regional entrepreneurial landscape, particularly in the context of underrepresented and disadvantaged businesses. The Executive Director will also be responsible for managing a robust portfolio of corporate partners, engaging in fundraising activities, and contributing to the vision and strategy of the innovation institute. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years' experience in entrepreneurship, business consulting, venture capital, economic development, or related fields. A graduate degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building strategic partnerships, a strong background in entrepreneurship program design, and experience in fundraising from diverse sources.
