Job Description: We are seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to participate in the configuration planning for desktops that will be installed including imaging requirements and confirmation of requirements at each position. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with excellent customer service record. Required Experience (5 years): Experience providing technical helpdesk support. Experience installing workstation/desktop equipment. Experience imaging workstations. Experience installing and testing software. Experience with Windows and Apple based technologies. Experience with networking and firewalls. Experience with Active Directory. Preferred Experience: Experience providing corporate technical helpdesk support. Experience in computer and networking hardware setup and installation. Experience in business user support for hardware and application issues. Experience working in an airport and/or control room environment. Preferred Education/Certification: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field. CompTIA A Certification. Responsibilities: Assist in preparing, testing, and loading images for the DFW workstations. Configure and test workstations in accordance with policy/procedures. Install and test additional software required at each position based upon the role/job function being performed. Install workstations at designated locations and in accordance with specific requirements at each position. Workstation installation may involve the moving of certain equipment from existing stakeholder locations. Install, connect, and test displays (multi monitor arrays). Install tabletop and under-mount accessories including mouse, keyboard, telephone, radio equipment, KVM equipment, cable management, power strips, etc. Unit test and participate in facility-wide integrated testing as required. Coordinate with functional managers on all project teams. Maintain/update asset and equipment inventory.
