SENIOR AVIATION PROJECT MANAGER LOCATION: Austin, Texas TYPE: Full-time WORK SETTING: Onsite INDUSTRY: Construction / Airport AREA OF SPECIALTY: Construction / Project Management / Airport Terminal Projects ASLPM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Aviation Project Manager to lead and manage complex aviation construction projects in the TX region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, from inception to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and results-oriented individual with a passion for delivering complex aviation projects. They will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. WHAT YOU’LL DO Project Leadership: Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and airport personnel. Project Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Contract Management: Oversee contract administration, including procurement, change orders, and dispute resolution. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize potential impacts. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets project specifications and industry standards. Safety Management: Prioritize safety, enforce safety regulations, and conduct regular safety inspections. Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including airport management, regulatory agencies, and the public. Financial Management: Monitor project budgets, track costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Change Management: Manage change orders and variations to the project scope. WHAT YOU’LL BRING Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on aviation projects. Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and materials. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Preferred Qualification: PMP certification Experience with airport design standards and regulations (FAA, ICAO, etc.) Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and green building certifications (e.g., LEED)
