Certification Details BLS WA License Job Requirements 1 year experience, telemetry experience Are RNs required to titrate drips? - yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips - Heparin, Blood, IV fluids Charge Nurse/House Supervisor - Yes, both Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios - 1:8-16 RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) - All beds telemetry capable Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? - Monitor techs are off site, RNs validate and read strips Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling - 12 hours shifts either days or nights – 7 to 7:30 both shifts Weekend Requirement - every other (based on unit needs) Holiday Requirement - 3/year Is there a call or standby requirement? - no, as needed per census Floating Requirements - Yes, all RNs are susceptible to floating within their scope Scrub Color/Dress Code - Navy top and bottom Unit Specific Information Unit - Med/Surg/Tele 5th Floor Number of beds - 32 Ratios - 1:4-6 Common diagnoses/Types of patients - Post Surgical: General, Ortho, Uro, Gyn Additional Details Additional $20/hr when floated within Region III that’s not the primary facility. WA License Required Medical Solutions auto deducts the 1.75 WA state tax - you are able re-add that back in.
