Expect 25 hours. Days 0700-1930 NOC 1900-0730 6 week cycles. Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: yes Unit Specific Information Unit: Med/Surg/Ortho 2nd Floor of beds: 34 Ratios: 1:4, 1:5 Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Orthopedic Patients: Hips, Knees, Shoulders, Spine, fractures General Medical/Surgical – pneumonia, heart failure, sepsis, chest pain, Gi Bleed, diabetes, electrolyte imbalances, kidney failure, UTI Med/Surg. Ortho preferred Are RNs required to titrate drips?: yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Cardizem Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Yes/Yes Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes. 8-10:1 RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): Cpap/Bipap Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: Yes. Yes, monitor techs RNs must be able to read basic strips Scrub Color/Dress Code: scrubs Additional Details Primary to St. Michael Medical Center but if needed, travelers will be required to float throughout Region Three: St Anthony Hospital – Gig Harbor, WA; St. Michael Medical Center – Silverdale, WA. 1st to float EPIC training if not used system within year or fail Sphinx assessment.
