Job Title: Regional Sales Manager West Reports To: National Director of Sales Office: California Remote Supervises: Field Sales Representatives & Manages Brokers Category: Full-time Summary: This outstanding and dedicated sales leader will put our customers at the heart of our business. Focusing on portfolio expansion, new distribution, maintaining and expanding customer base to meet organizational objectives. Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities listed below. The duties and responsibilities include the following, though other duties may be assigned. Sales Leader: Develop aggressive growth plans to reach organizational objectives. Chase and close New Business: retail key accounts, independent retailers, Wholesalers, etc. Sales merchandiser development and training in POS weekly. Create and manage promotional activity plans and effectively communicate with Field Sales personnel to perform in-store execution – brand positioning, rack placement, display execution Price management; establish appropriate and competitive retails while securing profitability. Promotions management; ensure all customers are applying promo tags when items are on TPR. Trade management; create effective promo calendar while managing the authorized trade spend. Broker, distributor, management and development Account Management – Retail Customer growth development, promo activity, portfolio expansion. Interface with key customers contacts to assess current service levels, understand areas for improvement, and ensure complete alignment for retail plans to be implemented. Other ADHOC duties as assigned. What you will bring: Serve as a primary interface for the West Region representing Verde Valle Foods in a well professional manner. Ability to influence both internal and external key stakeholders utilizing end-to-end thinking, fact-based insights, and thought leadership for 3-5 year out planning. Communicate and influence implementation of KPI’s to enable superior execution within the western geography of the U.S. Drive vision with execution utilizing a growth mindset to deliver KPI’s, scale, and collaboration driving the overall team forward. Passion for sales leadership, retail field presence and people development. Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, category insights, and organizational behavior. Bi-lingual in English & Spanish required. Strong sales background with excellent understanding of technology, business processes, and systems. Undergraduate degree required; MBA or similar advanced degree highly desired Proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottom-line orientation; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; high level of business acumen including successful P&L management; the ability to balance the delivery of programs against the realities of a budget; and problem solving, project management, and creative resourcefulness. Regional sales management experience for a business or product line and a track record of successful introductions to the retail marketplace. International sourcing experience and a working knowledge of the total supply-chain process; product, pricing, packaging, promotion, distribution and "profit" will be required.
