The Manager, Sales, is responsible for directing and planning for U.S. sales and planning for the Emerging Brands area of our overall branded business within the active, lifestyle, and sports channel at Hybrid Apparel. This position is responsible for preparing sales budgets/projections and delivering on expected budgets, while working closely with teams to plan inventory and develop sales plans to achieve financial results. What You'll Do Develop seasonal / annual business plans (by account) detailing growth objectives, category objectives, distribution goals, and promotional plans Track and analyze key metrics to increase sales budgets for entertainment properties at Specialty and better retail Work closely with team to implement strategies and to provide sales tools to facilitate results Work effectively with the brand, merchandising, licensing, and the sales team to maximize brand distribution within approved account base Set price targets and margin thresholds for product lines with merchandising Develop the product construct to provide better visibility to sales needs Plan and direct hiring/utilization of external sales representatives Advise dealers and reps on pricing and SOP’s, coordinating for effective results Determine and sell the most effective merchandise mix, prepare stock to sales plans (by month) where appropriate Define and execute territory sales plans and expectations for sale streams Make data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation Identify emerging market opportunities to increase margins and/or sales in general Work closely with the merch team to identify opportunities for sales Attend trade shows, steer committee meetings, key account meeting, and pre-lines as deemed necessary Work to plan buys per season with the merch team, giving sales insight Gather and report sell-thru information weekly Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding products and services Determine seasonal line breaks and off-price strategies to increase margins Work closely with internal teams to liquidate old season product with ownership of inventory providing dates and gates for off-price Work with teams to help plan seasonal objectives for each distributor and licensor Work closely with finance team to plan budgets for the year and adhere to expenditures and targets per plans Maintain relationships with retail buyers through on-site visits, pursue new accounts and avenues of distribution. Enhance overall sales and marketing efforts by reporting on market trends, market feedback, and competitors’ efforts What You'll Need Minimum 3-5 years’ experience successfully Managing Sales into the active, lifestyle, outdoor and/or sports channel, with experience of a major brand in these channels is required. Prior Supervisory experience required. Thorough knowledge of product and ability to demonstrate product effectively Strong written and oral communication skills with a clear and concise style Excellent organizational, prioritization, time management and multi-tasking skills Accuracy and attention to detail Must be a self-starter and able to work independently, equally must be able to work with a team Knowledge and proficiency of sales tools such as AS400, QlikView, NuOrder, etc. Must have strong follow-up skills with excellent follow-through Hybrid Apparel is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
