Role Description: This is a full-time on-site role for an SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator at Radel's facility in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The SMT Operator is responsible for the effective operation of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machinery and equipment, including pick and place machines, reel feeders, automated optical inspection (AOI), solder paste inspection (SPI), reflow ovens, and associated processes involved in the assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs). This role is critical in ensuring the quality and efficiency of PCB production, from loading and unloading of components and assembled PCBs to overseeing automated conformal coating and conducting manual inspections in accordance with IPC standards. Responsibilities: Operate and manage setup for pick and place machines, ensuring accurate placement of components on PCBs. Load reel feeders for the SMT line, maintaining a continuous supply of components. Oversee the operation of AOI, SPI, and reflow oven processes to ensure the quality of solder joints and component placement. Manage PCB loading and unloading processes within the production line. Operate automated conformal coating machinery, ensuring proper environmental protection of PCBs. Perform quality inspection of conformal coating and manage the washing process for assembled PCBs. Conduct manual inspections of PCBs in accordance with IPC standards to ensure compliance with quality requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and quality protocols. Collaborate with production team members to identify and implement process improvements. Document production data and any process abnormalities to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
