SMT Machine Operator - (Wilsonville, OR / On-site / Day Shift)
Purpose of Job : APCON designs and manufactures network monitoring equipment used by data center companies around the world! The Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Machine Operator will be responsible for the operation of automated equipment used in the SMT assembly line. This individual will perform routine equipment set-up, operations, adjustments, and daily maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Setup and operate Stencil Printer machine to apply solder paste onto printed circuit boards Setup, operate and maintain Pick and Place machines for component placement on PCBs Test the thermal profiles in the oven Load the program and run the boards in the reflow oven Perform automated optical inspection (AOI) to detect defects or irregularities Record and track assembly process control and machine maintenance Fulfill any assigned responsibilities
Qualifications Required:
Must have 3+ years of working experience in an electronic manufacturing or SMT environment Knowledge of stencil printing, pick-and-place operations, reflow soldering, and inspection processes Basic knowledge of IPC standards or IPC Certification (a plus) Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision Ability to read and understand documentation and instructions Must be reliable and maintain good attendance Follows critical safety rules and keeps the environment clean and organized
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
