Required Skills and Experience JD degree from an accredited law school Active member in good standing of the CA state bar 3 years of experience in property, casualty, and auto insurance litigation (either in-house or with a law firm) Strong litigation and trial skills, with experience managing complex cases Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical abilities Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage issues, and industry regulations Nice to Have Skills and Experience Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Litigation Counsel for an opportunity with it's insurance client. If selected, you will manage and litigate complex property, casualty, and auto insurance claims, providing expert legal representation and guidance throughout the litigation process. You will work closely with claims adjusters, underwriters, and external counsel, ensuring that all litigation matters are handled effectively, efficiently, and in line with company goals. Responsibilities Oversee and manage property, casualty, and auto insurance litigation cases from inception through resolution Provide legal advice and counsel to internal teams, including claims adjusters, underwriters, and senior management, on litigation strategy, coverage issues, and case evaluations Collaborate with external legal counsel, monitoring their performance, costs, and progress on assigned cases Conduct legal research, prepare legal pleadings, discovery, and motions as needed Evaluate and advise on settlement opportunities and risk exposures, working towards efficient resolution of claims Ensure compliance with relevant state and federal laws, regulations, and internal policies Maintain detailed records and documentation of litigation files, ensuring proper communication with all stakeholders Represent the company in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations
