Jupiter seeks a highly motivated and experienced Contracts Manager to join its Corporate Team as an Independent Contractor (1099). This will be a temporary contractor position with a timeline of approximately a 3-month agreement with the possibility of extension. The Contracts Manager (“Consultant”) will help craft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute legal and financial agreements covering a wide range of transactions. Consultant will be responsible for collaborating with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to ensure contracts are within budget and set timelines, and will negotiate terms, as requested, and on behalf of Jupiter Power. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, 7 years of experience managing contracts in a legal capacity Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-based systems Other Requirements Understanding of legal and contract terminology, and construction/operations contractual terms Responsibilities: Draft, review, edit, analyze, provide guidance, and finalize a variety of contracts to support the Legal department. Manage contract review requests for the Legal department. Prepare final contracts for execution and ensure contracts are executed in accordance with corporate and legal requirements. Analyze contracts for input into Company’s contract database and ensure files are accurate and complete. Support the population of datarooms with applicable contracts to support transactions. Monitor and audit contract obligations to ensure compliance. Providing training and guidance to team members and other departments on contract management and policies. Maintain and update contract forms. Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters. Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the Company itself. Conducting special projects as needed Qualifications: Competency Statement(s) General knowledge of contract creation and administration Understanding of legal and contract terminology, and construction/operations contractual terms Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work in a team setting Ability to handle confidential matters and interact with diverse counterparts Excellent interpersonal and management skills with a customer service mindset Excellent knowledge of contract law. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Close attention to detail. Ability to draft contractual agreements and clauses with strong proofreading skills. Strong attention to detail, time management, and meeting critical deadlines Preferred Skills: Experience in the alternative energy industry Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all levels of management and employees Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a focus on innovation and teamwork Strong research and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments in a fast-paced environment.
