Certification Details BLS ACLS (preferred) NIHSS (preferred) Job Requirements BLS is required Overall strong Neuro experience Charge Nurse 24/7 RNs are not required to read strips but must verify monitor tech's strip reading in Epic Schedule Information Weekend day positions: Friday, Saturday and Sundays Weekend night positions: Friday, Saturday, and Sundays OR Saturday, Sundays, and Mondays Nights (weekdays): every other weekend or 3 weekend shifts per schedule (weekend shifts Saturday and Sundays) Unit Specific Information Ratios: 1:5-6 for Floor patients 3 nurse aids per shift, Ratios 1:7-10 Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, dopamine, Nipride, Ketamine, Lasix, Bumex, Insulin There is tele on this unit 1 Shift on the unit orientation; Nightshift 7p-7:30a Additional Details 20 beds (14 floor, 6 stepdown) Titration is only done by physician's orders in a step-down setting RT is available 24/7 - States they get "floor Vents" - RNs are not required to have vent experience
