Job Summary We are seeking a Vice President to lead the SoCal division, responsible for project oversight, business growth, and operational excellence in the water construction sector. This role requires an accomplished leader with a background in managing large-scale water treatment and infrastructure projects, experience in P&L management, and a strategic approach to expanding market reach and increasing profitability. The VP will set a growth-focused vision and ensure efficient project delivery in a collaborative, safety-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Strategic Vision Define and communicate a clear vision aligning with the company’s strategic goals. Formulate and drive division-wide strategies to enhance profitability and expand project capabilities in water construction. Operational Excellence Oversee the execution of water treatment, wastewater conveyance, and pump station projects. Establish and promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality assurance across all project phases. Financial Leadership Oversee budgets, financial plans, and resource allocations, ensuring financial performance aligns with company targets. Implement risk management strategies and maintain rigorous financial controls to support long-term profitability. Business Development and Client Relations Identify growth opportunities within the water and wastewater markets, leveraging industry relationships to secure high-value contracts. Cultivate partnerships with clients, stakeholders, and local government agencies to bolster the company’s market presence. Project Oversight Ensure adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards on large, self-perform projects. Lead project scheduling, planning, and allocation, ensuring efficient project delivery. Talent Development Develop a robust succession plan and promote team growth by mentoring emerging leaders. Recruit, retain, and support top-tier talent, fostering a dynamic, high-performing work culture. Qualifications P&L Management: Proven experience managing profit and loss in a construction environment. Industry Network: Strong network within the water infrastructure sector, with the ability to leverage connections for business expansion. Project Expertise: Demonstrated experience in large-scale water treatment, pump station, and wastewater projects. Leadership Skills: Collaborative, hands-on leader who excels in dynamic, high-stakes environments. Education: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
