We are seeking a Senior Program Manager who can manage & deliver multi-year FFP programs, primarily focused within the aerospace and defense (A&D) industry. This role is critical to representing Planisware to our customers, managing multiple teams & workstreams, staying on track with schedule, cost, scope, and value-delivery, and ensuring the successful delivery of such programs that align with both client and business objectives, and. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in program management, particularly within the A&D sector, and a strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and DCMA compliance. Location: Our preference is for someone able to commute to one of our offices in Denver, CO; San Francisco, CA; or Philadelphia, PA three times a week, though remote arrangements are also an option. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the Program: Oversee all aspects of program delivery, including planning, execution, and tracking of performance to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery • Client Partnership: Serve as the primary point of contact for the client’s project management teams, building strong relationships, addressing issues, raising and mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment with the client’s strategic goals • EVM & DCMA Compliance Guidance: Provide best practice guidance on Earned Value Management (EVM) practices to ensure program alignment with contractual requirements, and ensure full compliance with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) standards. • Risk Management: Proactively identify, mitigate, and communicate risks and issues, including financial risks associated with fixed-price contracts. • Financial Oversight: Manage program budget and financials, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and forecasting, and appropriate follow-up of contract change orders as necessary. • Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, including executive leadership and cross-functional teams, to provide regular updates on program progress, risks, and opportunities. • Continuous Improvement: Lead pre & post-mortem analyses and integrate learnings into future projects and programs to improve delivery and performance. Your Qualifications: • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of general program management experience, including at least 5 years managing large, multi-year, $1m fixed-price contracts in complex industries, within the aerospace and defense sector • Client-Facing Skills: Proven ability to build and manage trusted relationships with large clients, particularly within high-stakes, government-regulated environments. • Software Implementation Skills: Experience with implementing software projects, managing software teams, and a deep understanding of what the key focal areas are within a software project • Agile Skills: Experience with agile software processes, implementing agile software projects, and working within agile frameworks. • Analytical Skills: Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze program performance, control costs, and forecast future outcomes. • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to executives and clients. • Industry Knowledge: Background in the aerospace and defense industry or experience with other government-regulated, high-complexity industries. • EVM Knowledge: Deep understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) compliance requirements. • PPM Knowledge: Background in implementing/using Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) systems, PM systems, EVMS systems, cost/resource/schedule management systems • Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or similar program management certifications are a plus Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 3 weeks of paid vacation 9 paid holidays Up to 4 months maternity leave Paternity leave Life, short and long-term disability insurance 401(k) plan with company variable contribution Profit sharing FSA plan, including employer contribution Cell phone and internet allowances Company annual kick-off trip Quarterly events/monthly happy hours Company charitable donation match Community outreach Tuition assistance program Graduate program
