Job Title: Mechanical Foreman/Special Projects Assistant Project Manager Location: Orange County, CA Position Overview We seek an experienced Mechanical Foreman/Special Projects Assistant Project Manager to join our Orange County, CA team. The ideal candidate will have a background in fieldwork, commercial HVAC service, and project management, focusing on piping and applied mechanical systems such as chillers. This role is suited for a local candidate with a stable work history who started in the field as a sheet metal or pipe fitter installer and progressed into commercial HVAC service and project management. Key Responsibilities Oversee mechanical special projects, focusing on commercial HVAC systems. Manage project schedules, timelines, and resources to ensure on-time completion. Supervise and direct field personnel, ensuring high-quality installation and service. Manage project budgets, change orders, and invoicing. Collaborate with building owners, contractors, and other stakeholders to address project needs and specifications. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure materials and labor. Review and manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and equipment submittals. Qualifications Local candidates with a stable work history in Orange County, CA, are preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the HVAC industry, including fieldwork and commercial HVAC service. Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment such as chillers, piping systems, and sheet metal installations. Project management experience overseeing HVAC projects, including schedule management, resource allocation, and client communication. Knowledge of change orders, invoicing, and budget management. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certifications in HVAC, sheet metal, or mechanical systems are preferred. Project management certifications are a plus.
