The Production Supervisor oversees the entire salad dressings production cycle, ensuring compliance with GMPs, safety, allergen controls, food safety and sanitation, food defense, and SQF policies to meet quality standards. Most importantly, they onboard, train, and coach all production associates to maintain a safe working environment. Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000/year Status: Salaried Exempt, Full-time Days of the Week Needed: Wednesday through Saturday, with overtime and holidays as needed Shift Hours: 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, 12-hour shifts Rotation: Week 1: 3 days on / 4 days off Week 2: 4 days on / 3 days off Key Responsibilities: Follow and enforce all Safety, Allergen Controls, Food Safety & Sanitation, Food Defense, and SQF policies and procedures relating to job duties for all departments. Supervise day to day production floor tasks, ensuring GMP compliance, enforcing process flow, and troubleshooting issues, hands-on supervisor. Responsible for managing the performance of their direct reports, ensuring that all team members meet or exceed productivity and quality standards. Manage effective employee training and maintain required documentation to ensure Total Quality Management (TQM), safety, and adherence to production procedure. Conduct daily audits and visual inspections for safety hazards and process deviations. Conduct daily audits on inventory consumptions of raw materials during scaling out, liquid batch production, and scanning finished goods into inventory to ensure accuracy. Review previous shift/end-of-week reports to ensure your room leads follow correct protocols depending on SKU. Evaluate production schedule and labor requirements to provide work direction. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process and documentation. Frontline leader for employee relations. Performs other related duties as assigned Environment: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Hair and beard net, gloves, safety shoes, bump cap, smocks Chemical Exposure: Cleaning supplies and food allergens Temperature: Refrigerated at 67 degrees Fahrenheit Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study preferred or equivalent experience 3 years of experience with Cal/OSHA compliance in a manufacturing environment 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role required 3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred Proficient verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite or related software Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively across departments and build consensus around key initiatives Physical Demands and Abilities: Ability to maintain a safe and positive work environment Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs frequently Ability to bend, twist, stoop, squat, and pivot Ability to walk and stand for 12 hour shifts Ability to perform essential job functions in a plant environment with limited climate control and exposure to machinery noise Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental (PPO only) Up to 4% 401k matching company contribution Company-paid life insurance Vacation Sick pay 7 paid holidays E-Verify compliant Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)
