Senior CNC Programmer

Location: Billerica MA Salary: 100k-135k/yr Hours: 8:00am - 5pm Monday-Friday Experience in ISO/AS9100 (Aerospace/Defense) facilities and in/around a machine-shop preferred. Qualifications Minimum 5 years working with CNC Programming in Mastercam Minimum 5 years working with Mazaks Knowledge of metal alloys and usage within consumer and industrial products Responsibilities Develop CNC Programs, create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for various machining processes, including milling, turning, and multi-axis machining centers Develop machining strategies to take designs and produce machined hardware Assist machinists with the setup and troubleshooting of CNC machines, ensuring programs are run as intended and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process. Develop manufacturing plans for high-volume production Design custom tools and fixtures as needed Identify, select, and procure appropriate tooling for job specific applications (based on part material, geometry, features, tolerances, system rigidity, and equipment capability). Releasing programs to the production team that have been validated Own process improvement opportunities (reduced machining/setup time, improved part quality) Maintain configuration control of files and job records Machining principles and GD&T Lift over 50 pounds, along with over the head lifting
