The Benefits Administrator is responsible for the administration of the benefits programs and leaves of absence for an assigned region. Responsibilities: Serve as primary contact for internal and external customers to include vendors, third party administrators, employees, and plan participants. Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident, death claims, and QMCSOs. Serve as Benefits and Leave SME with the managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, claims, leaves, status changes, and other general inquiries Distributes benefits enrollment materials as necessary and determines eligibility. Administers participant data with appropriate carriers in a timely manner. Prepare, coordinate, and maintain employee benefit information in all systems Audit and maintain vendor billing Administration of medical coverage compliance with Affordable Care Act (ACA), counsels and enrolls employees in medical coverages as appropriate. Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability, FMLA and ADA. Effectively interprets Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities. Communicate and coordinate with field leadership, HR Business Partners, Workers Compensation and Legal, as necessary, in administration of leave. Basic Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience, including insurance, carriers, benefits, human resources, broker/agent. High school diploma, minimally. College degree and any other professionally-related designations are preferred. Benefits Administration experience preferred Bilingual in Spanish and English, with proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
