Job description Benefits Partner About the Role: We are excited to offer a full-time opportunity for a Benefits Partner at our Irvine, CA office. Reporting to the Benefits Supervisor, this role is responsible for managing the daily operations of the company’s benefits and leave programs, ensuring smooth administration and an excellent employee experience. Key Responsibilities Health, Welfare, and Retirement Programs: Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, STD, LTD, EAP, FSA, tuition reimbursement, 401(k), and other offerings. Manage online benefit enrollments, ensuring timely and accurate payroll deductions. Coordinate with vendors to process benefits, manage billing, and reconcile monthly invoices; perform audits as needed. Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefit plans for active employees, retirees, and COBRA participants. Work with Plan Administrators, Carrier Representatives, and Brokers to resolve benefit claims. Research and recommend benefit plan options for new market expansions. Leave of Absence Administration: Oversee the full leave administration cycle, from initial request to return-to-work, including paperwork completion, eligibility verification, and medical certification. Maintain communication with employees and managers to facilitate smooth and timely leave transitions. Review and recommend updates to company leave policies for compliance with laws and internal standards. Collaborate with Human Resources Business Partners on leave-related matters. Annual Open Enrollment: Participate in the planning and execution of the Annual Open Enrollment process and health fairs. Partner with HR Business Partners to address enrollment-related concerns. Work Schedule & Compensation: Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional overtime as needed). Hourly Pay: $33.50 - $45.00 per hour (final pay determined by experience and other factors). Proven experience managing the full cycle of leave of absence (LOA) administration. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to explain complex benefits and regulatory information clearly. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with employees, brokers, and insurance carriers. Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service excellence. Analytical and problem-solving skills with project management capabilities. Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational abilities. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of benefit-related laws, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and ACA. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
