Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $1,680 per week

Certification Details BLS ACLS NIHSS Job Details A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for ICU RN's. 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed. 2 years of unit experience. 13 Week contract. Job Requirements 2 years of unit experience. of Beds: 34 Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:1-2 ICU, 1:4 PCU Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and Peds >15 years old, Neuro surgery, Respiratory failure, ARDS, MODS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, general surgery, psych/OD, GI bleeds RN's required to titrate drips: Yes - Vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, antiarrhythmics Charge Nurse on each shift: Yes- will attend RRTs and Codes Nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit. RT Equipment: RN's need to be proficient from Nasal cannula to vents Schedule Information Shifts: 0630-1830, 1830-0630 Weekend Requirements: Every other Holiday Requirements: Every other or as needed Floating Requirements: Will float to all inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU Orientation: 2 shifts of unit/department specific orientation Schedule based on unit needs Unit Specific Information Med Surg ICU RN Charge nurse takes assignment and attends RRTs and Codes Tele/Monitor Techs: No techs - RNs need to be able to read and interpret telemetry Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue Additional Details Fast-paced unit with volume flexes Attributes for a successful nurse: ability to ask questions, positive attitude, willingness to help, critical thinking skills, and collaborative approach Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
