For all.Group SummaryThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.Recognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.About the RoleThis position reports directly to the Shift Team Leader/ Supervisor and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:Your Responsibilities•To exhibit an objective, fair and professional attitude that exemplifies the principles outlined in The MAGNA Employee's Charter to maintain a positive and productive workplace.•To exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment.•To demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.•To follow Decostar policies and display conduct expected of Decostar employees as described in the employee handbook consistent with the Magna Employee Charter which are Job Security, A Safe and Healthful Workplace, Fair Treatment, Competitive Wages and Benefits, Employee Equity and Profit Participation, Communication and Information, Employee Relations Advisory Board and The Hotline.•To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Decostar.•To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department's established procedures and work instructions.•Meet or exceed daily production goals as directed by the Process Team Leader and the departmental objectives.•Clean all assigned work areas after completion of the required work, return all tools and to proper storage area at the end of the shift and report any malfunctioning equipment to the Process Team Leader.•Direct all non-conforming material to the appropriate area.•Maintain proper radio and computer etiquette when using company computer and radios, business use only.•Must be able to work overtime as needed in accordance with Company Policy.•Perform all assigned tasks per the work guidance sheets, TPMs and quality alerts.•Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader/ Supervisor.Who we are looking for•Follow all Decostar Industries health and safety policies and procedures that provide for a safe and healthful workplace for all Decostar Industries employees, contractors and visitors.•Attend all job and safety related training as required.•Do not operate any equipment, machinery or perform any job task unless you have competed documented training•Participate in all accident investigations, internal inspections or audits or those conducted by any regulatory agency.•Do not modify or by-pass any safety-related systems on any equipment or machinery.•Immediately report any unsafe conditions or unsafe behaviors to your Team Leader, Supervisor or the Department Manager.•Immediately report any accidents, incidents or near-misses to your Team Leader, Supervisor Department Manager or the Safety Department.•Complete pre-operational safety checklists prior to operating any equipment or machinery•Set up Injection Molding Tools as per set up sheet, check Injection Mold after production run for damage, and note those damages as per instruction sheet, clean the Injection tools as per required instruction during the shift and after the run before removing it from the press. Follow all instructions posted on or at the press.•Operate the overhead crane accordingly to the required standard when moving tools to and from the press. Store the tools in the designated area•Help the Process Technician in setting up all degating and EOAT devices, according to the procedures.•Operating a forklift and move bin's racks, empty and full Gaylord's and any other good as required.•Separate and monitor granulation of material surge bins.•Must be able to perform minor repairs of loading system equipment.Your preferred qualifications•High school degree or equivalent•Ability to read, write and speak English effectively along with basic mathematical skills required.•Must successfully complete and pass the theory and practical training module as stated in the Decostar Industries Forklift Safety Policy to obtain a license and operate a forklift.•Must successfully pass a practical re-certification audit, every three years as required through OSHA Standards.Related Work Experience:•Previous manufacturing experience preferred•Previous forklift experience preferred as well as an understanding of manufacturing operations.•Demonstrated technical ability for minor equipment repairs.What we offerAt Magna, you can expect an engaging and dynamic environment where you can help to develop industry-leading automotive technologies.
