Textile Color Specialist

We are seeking a Color Developer II to join our Global Apparel Materials (GLAM) team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of color requirements for our apparel line. You will work collaboratively across cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise in color application on textiles, to ensure that color direction is executed to the highest standard. Responsibilities Color Development & Execution Partner with Cross-Functional teams to execute seasonal color direction. Facilitate and track lab dips to ensure seasonal initiatives meet critical milestones. Lead investigative processes to resolve color development challenges. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with Product Merchandising, Technical Development, Design, Product Creation Centers, and Material Integrity teams to ensure successful project delivery. Communicate goals and objectives effectively to internal stakeholders. Act as a resource and subject matter expert within the Color Development community. Process Management Ensure on-time commercialization of color developments, adhering to critical dates and gates. Maintain accurate documentation of color requirements in Product Data Management systems. Develop and refine tools and processes to enhance color execution for Apparel. Qualifications: Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Apparel, Textiles, Chemistry, or a related field (or 2 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree). Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in color development and textile materials. Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of color application on materials and textile techniques. Familiarity with apparel and material construction, including garment design. Ability to pass the Munsell Hue Color Test (visual color acuity test). Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with experience in Product Data Management systems (Smartsheet's experience is a plus). Strong written and oral communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proactive self-starter, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a diverse team. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of heather materials and techniques. Experience in the product creation process within the apparel industry.
