Maintenance Manager

Duration: 6-month contract to hire Overview: A client in the Concord, NC area is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of a 209,000 square foot fulfillment center. This is a new site, so the successful candidate must be self-motivated with great integrity to operate independently, set up the maintenance shop, and manage all maintenance needs through contractors. The role also involves working with construction teams on punch list completion. Key Responsibilities: Manage the maintenance department, ensuring the efficiency of all maintenance activities. Develop and execute budgets, and manage large capital projects. Lead, train, and motivate a team of maintenance personnel. Oversee the operation, maintenance, and safety of the ammonia refrigeration system (if applicable). Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track and manage maintenance activities. Collaborate with construction teams to complete punch lists and ensure the facility is fully operational. Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree (absolute requirement). Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance manager position within a Distribution Center, Manufacturing facility, or Fulfillment Center. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Experience with CMMS (please specify the systems you have used). Experience in creating and managing large capital projects and budgets. Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred, with responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and safety of the system.
