Welding Supervisor

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor with CWI Certification or proven welding inspection experience to join our team. The successful candidate will manage and coordinate the activities of our welding team, while ensuring all in-house procedures are closely followed. This position will require a skilled individual who can handle the coordination, inspection, and quality assurance of our welding processes, ensuring our projects are completed efficiently and safely to the highest standards. Responsibilities: Supervise, coordinate and inspect the activities of the welding team on a daily basis. Conduct inspections of welding works in progress to assure that the workmanship conforms to specifications and to established standards of quality. Certify welding procedures and qualify welders according to necessary codes. Oversee safety regulations compliance, ensuring that all necessary precautions are taken prior to commencing work. Help troubleshoot any challenges or delays in the welding process. Review blueprints and specifications, ensuring job orders and procedural requirements are properly interpreted and met. Provide regular reports to higher management on project progress, quality assurance and any issues. Maintain accurate record keeping on all necessary weld maps, weld logs, and non-conformance reports. Train and mentor junior welders, ensuring safe work practices are understood and applied. Qualifications: Professional certification in Welding Inspection (CWI) or equivalent experience in Welding Inspection. Strong knowledge of welding methods, techniques, procedures, and fabrication. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Familiarity with all safety procedures and protocols connected with welding operations. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in basic computer software like MS Office for report generation. Exceptional problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, leadership and managerial skills.
