Position: Catering Manager We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Manager to lead our catering operations, overseeing a diverse range of events and ensuring exceptional service and client satisfaction. The Catering Manager will manage all aspects of catering events, from initial client consultations to flawless execution, while leading a team to success. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong organizational skills, and proven leadership abilities. Responsibilities: Event Coordination: Oversee all aspects of catering events, including menu planning, staffing, procurement, and logistics to ensure seamless execution. Client Consultations: Conduct consultations to understand client needs and preferences, providing customized catering solutions that exceed expectations. Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to facilitate successful event delivery. Team Leadership: Manage catering staff by recruiting, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance to foster a high-performing team. Training Programs: Design and implement training initiatives to ensure consistent, high-quality service and enhance the overall customer experience. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all catering operations comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, and maintain food service certifications for staff. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and oversee procurement of food, beverages, and supplies as needed. Event Support: Act as the primary point of contact for clients during events, addressing any issues or concerns promptly. Performance Analysis: Analyze performance metrics and client feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the catering team, ensuring efficient workflows and service excellence. Staff Scheduling: Manage staff schedules, timecards, and overtime reporting to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency. Team Development: Promote staff development and support team members in achieving their professional goals. Reporting: Collect and report relevant data to management regarding catering performance and operational metrics. Budget Management: Meet regularly with leadership teams to report on costs, ensuring adherence to the established budget. Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with local leadership to develop and deliver strategic account reviews and enhance service offerings. Qualifications: Proven experience in a catering management role, with a successful track record of planning and executing events of varying sizes and complexities, including team management. Strong understanding of budgeting and cost control practices. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the foresight to anticipate and mitigate potential issues. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, along with industry best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and other relevant technology. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects (at least 50 lbs.) as needed. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
