Your role includes troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, general carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, equipment installations, and conducting preventative maintenance. Primary Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair 3-phase, single-phase, and DC electrical circuits. Assemble, install, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, air, and sewer. Perform carpentry tasks, such as maintaining and repairing floors, roofs, doors, windows, and furniture. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and make necessary repairs, documenting progress and updates for the Supervisor. Collaborate with the Supervisor to prioritize maintenance work orders and projects. Respond promptly to unplanned maintenance requests. Develop a deep understanding of the plant layout and machine operations. Follow policies and procedures outlined in the Environmental Management System (EMS). Secondary Responsibilities: Make minor repairs to air conditioning systems as needed. Collaborate with Engineers to modify or fabricate components for improved functionality. Construct work or storage areas following engineering designs. Drive to suppliers as needed to procure equipment and supplies for repairs. Participate in training opportunities to stay current on repair and maintenance techniques. What You’ll Bring: Completion of a formal trade school program, apprenticeship, or equivalent on-the-job training. At least 1 year of experience in general repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC. Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints. Skilled in using measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A keen attention to detail and a safety-conscious mindset. Basic computer skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit (5%), stand (10%), and walk (85%) during shifts. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. (25% of the time). Flexibility to bend, stoop, push, pull, and twist. Proficiency in using lifts and power tools. Compliance with safety requirements, including wearing steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection (provided).
