About the Role As a CNC Maintenance Technician at VAM USA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our CNC machines and mechanical equipment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include setting up CNC lathes and mills, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting malfunctions to minimize costly downtime. You will be working with a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, providing critical support to our production operations. Key Responsibilities: Set up CNC lathes and mills for new operations. Ensure the operation of CNC machines and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on machining lathes and mills, motors, pneumatic tools, and production equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Locate root causes of problems using sound troubleshooting methods to ensure permanent repairs. Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair machine control components and power transmission components. Maintain proper record keeping, documentation, and information for machine and repair files. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Read and interpret blueprints, technical parts manuals, and diagrams. Use all required hand and power tools, including drills, saws, torches, and jacks, as well as ladders, cranes, forklifts, and other maintenance equipment. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in electrical and/or electronic and mechanical maintenance, including motors, controls, power supplies, AC/DC theory, power distribution, PLCs, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, and power transmissions. Ability to follow all established safe work procedures, including personal protection equipment, safety lockout/tag-out, confined space, and elevated work areas. Physical Requirements: This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing during the shift. Why Join VAM USA?
