LINK Staffing, in partnership with a reputable local company, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. Position: Maintenance Technician Type: Full-Time Location: East Houston, TX Pay: $25.00–$35.00 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (some weekends may be required) Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Vacation, 401(k) (offered upon full-time hire) Responsibilities: Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of equipment used in rubber goods production. Conduct routine facility inspections and repairs, including lighting, minor A/C issues, painting, and basic building maintenance. Ensure machinery and mechanical equipment operate efficiently by completing preventive maintenance on boilers, ovens, motors, cooling systems, exhaust equipment, conveyor systems, and production machines. Identify sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for issues, and using measuring and testing instruments. Dismantle devices to remove and replace defective parts using hoists, cranes, lifts, and hand and power tools. Inspect and determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts; adjust functional parts of equipment and machines using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment, including lathes, mills, and welding apparatus. Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock levels and anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies. Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintain continuity among other employees by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintain safety and best management practices by keeping a clean working environment and complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as requested and needed, utilizing self-motivation techniques. Requirements: Previous electrical background/experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting. Proficiency with VFD controls, electro-hydraulic systems, electro-pneumatic systems, motor control circuits, and various voltage systems including 120 VAC, 240 VAC, and 480 VAC. Ability to read and interpret diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and engineering specifications. Experience with machine shop instrumentation and equipment, including lathes, mills, and welding apparatus.
