Litigation Legal Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive litigation legal assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys involved in litigation cases. This role involves managing all aspects of litigation cases from inception to resolution, ensuring smooth communication and organization within the legal department. Responsibilities: Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and briefs. Organize and maintain case files and legal documents. Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions. Conduct factual and legal research. Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel. Draft correspondence and communicate case updates to clients. Manage attorney calendars and deadlines. File documents electronically with courts and agencies. Prepare trial binders and exhibits. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a legal environment. Proven experience as a legal assistant, particularly in litigation. Knowledge of legal terminology, principles, and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Discretion and trustworthiness due to the sensitive nature of legal matters. Familiarity with local court rules and procedures Pay, Benefits, Workplace: This is an entry-level position with a salary of $45,000-$50,000.
