Maintenance Manager Needed for Industry Leading Food Manufacturing Firm Greater Fresno Manager level Responsibilities: Lead and oversee supervisory teams responsible for maintaining production, packaging, receiving, and shipping equipment, as well as managing facilities maintenance tasks such as grounds upkeep, building repairs, and utility systems. Develop and manage the activities of planners and schedulers. Order tools, equipment, and supplies as needed for operations. Review and inspect completed work to ensure it meets standards, blueprints, and specifications. Ensure maintenance schedules and repair estimates align with project objectives and cost estimates. Enforce safety protocols and ensure company policies are adhered to. Create and adjust work procedures to meet repair deadlines effectively. Oversee the planning and execution of new equipment installations. Maintain and organize key departmental reports, tracking metrics such as maintenance downtime, inventory levels, safety compliance, work order completion, and labor efficiency. Ensure work schedule compliance and keep records up to date. Develop and manage a dynamic preventive maintenance (PM) program, along with efficient work order and maintenance processes. Ensure compliance with USDA standards through scheduled maintenance and completion of PIP work. Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance and safety activities. Monitor and manage departmental budgets to meet goals and financial targets. Establish and manage Personnel Management Agreements with supervisory staff and team members. Create and implement skills assessments to align with individual strengths and development needs. Identify and implement improvements in work conditions and equipment usage to optimize efficiency. Champion a root cause analysis program to address and prevent equipment failures. Ensure all equipment repair records are accurately maintained within EAM & CMMS systems. Perform other related duties as required. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, with a preference for candidates with a focus in Food Manufacturing, and at least 10 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatics, electrical and electronic systems, PLCs, refrigeration, boilers, and facility maintenance. Proven leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading maintenance teams. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and multiple shifts. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience managing maintenance operations across multiple locations. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Experience working in a food production facility adhering to FDA/USDA standards. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Qualifications / Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related field. Experience Required: Experience with FDA/USDA standards. Expertise in PLC systems. Knowledge of refrigeration systems and boilers.
