We are seeking a Director of Operational Excellence to join our dynamic team. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, optimizing processes, and recommending automation technologies within our distribution center. As a key strategic partner, you will shape the future of our operations by leading initiatives focused on continuous improvement, productivity enhancement, quality assurance, safety standards, and cost reduction. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and engage with cross-functional teams, including customer service, IT, supply chain, and operations. By leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodologies and best-in-class operational strategies, you will create impactful changes, challenge the status quo, and deliver sustainable improvements that contribute to business growth and customer satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the lifecycle of GDC warehouse inbound and outbound projects, from planning and execution to delivery, adhering to timelines, scope, and budget constraints. Identify and recommend new warehouse operational processes and WMS methodologies. Track and report project outcomes, offering insights to senior leadership. Lead the formalization, visualization, and review of organizational processes, identifying automation opportunities to streamline operations and increase efficiency Ensure cohesive integration and testing of any new operational processes throughout the warehouse departments. Assist senior leadership in executing operational strategies aimed at improving key performance metrics and drive efficiency. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track ongoing process performance and assess the impact of process improvements. Cross-Functional collaboration work with different departments to ensure alignment and shared accountability in implementing warehouse operations process changes and improvements across the business. Conduct a thorough analysis of current warehouse processes to identify failure points, inefficiency, simplification opportunities, and areas for improvement using analytics and industry best practices. Conduct self-directed exploratory analysis of warehouse data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement Be a leader and coach of Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies and tools that drive continuous improvement. Develop and maintain process documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures, and performance metrics. Maintain and periodically improve Operational Excellence Roadmaps. QUALIFICATIONS: 5 years’ experience and/or exposure to WMS strategies, process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma, with the ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Strong analytical skills, with experience interpreting data and providing insights for operational improvements. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and departments. Able to work across the S&L network with strong influencing skills to achieve desired results without direct reporting responsibilities. Proven ability with large-scale change management Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (10 years in a relevant warehouse or logistics role). Certification in Six Sigma or other continuous improvement programs is required. Integrity & Ethics: Conduct all activities with honesty, fairness, and respect. COMPENSATION: $130-150k per year is the anticipated starting base pay for this role. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this role. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, education, and skills.
