We are seeking a passionate Shipping and Logistics Coordinator to help us deliver to our partners around the world. Job Summary Catholic World Mission is looking for an initiative seeker with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to help build our organization to have an even greater impact around the world. One of the many types of generous donations we receive is Gifts in Kind (GIK) products such as medical supplies, food, clothing, computers, etc. to communities in need. The Shipping and Logistics Coordinator’s responsibilities include coordinating all activities related to shipping & receiving, timely product deliveries, logistics, cargo policies, supply chain systems, and other gifts in kind transport initiatives. This person needs to have demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work with the Executive Director to help promote the Mission, Values, and Culture of Catholic World Mission. Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate logistical operations, including arranging GIK supply shipments from their origins to designated destinations. Outreach to suppliers and foster relationships in efforts to obtain GIK donations. Demonstrate expertise of GIK when speaking with suppliers and answering inquiries. Ensure seamless transport, receiving, warehousing, and distribution of GIK donations for prompt and efficient delivery in complex and evolving environments, including frontline areas. Process donated GIK products and maintain an inventory to track items received & distributed. For gifts in kind delivered to the office, handle all outgoing packages including preparation of boxes, produce express mail labels, and ensure shipments are promptly picked up by couriers. Monitor the transport of GIK donations to confirm on-time arrival to recipients. Contact courier service companies to resolve any delivery issues that may arise such as missing GIK donations, products stuck in foreign distribution centers, customs related documentation, delivery delays, etc., reporting progress to the Executive Director. Prepare and provide GIK reports, presentations, and other materials as required. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in handling GIK donations including shipping & receiving internationally. Proven achievement in cultivating relationships with suppliers including coordinating, tracking, and executing successful deliveries of international shipments.
