Leading engineering company specializing in precision engineering components and systems for automotive and non-automotive sectors . As we launch our first U.S. manufacturing facility in Mebane, NC, we seek an experienced and driven Business Development professional to play a critical role in our expansion and growth in the North American market. Job Summary The Senior Manager/ Business Development will be responsible for driving strategic growth, identifying and developing new business opportunities, and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including OEMs in the automotive and non-automotive sectors . This role requires a visionary leader with extensive industry knowledge and a proven track record of business development success. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive market research to identify growth opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Develop and execute strategic business plans to meet revenue and growth targets. Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including OEMs, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Act as a primary point of contact for key clients and drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures, and strategic alliances. Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales objectives. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery to clients. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to align business development efforts with operational capabilities. Represent organization at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company’s brand and expand its presence in the U.S. market. Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, market analysis, and financial performance to senior management. Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies to ensure alignment with overall business goals. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is preferred. 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic planning within the manufacturing or engineering industry, preferably in the automotive sector. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and the North American automotive market. Experience working with OEMs in the automotive sector. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically and analytically, with a keen eye for market trends and opportunities. Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
