Travel Nurse RN - Orthopedics - $1,818 per week

Certification Details BLS required ACLS preferred Job Details Facility in Eastern Nebraska is looking for several traveling Med-Surg nurses. The hospital is looking for both day and night shift coverage. The shift will be twelve hours. 13-26 Week Contracts, 36-48 hour guarantee's. Job Requirements MedSurg/Tele- joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbation, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia, failure to thrive RN's required to titrate drips: Heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine Common titratable &/or set rate drips: PCA pumps RN's should have some tele awareness Schedule Information SELF SCHEDULING. 0630-1900, 1830-0700 Travelers will be scheduled. Will approve a limited amount of block scheduling Every other weekend 2-3 Holidays from Thanksgiving to New Years. Unit Specific Information Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 Charge Nurse on each shift; charge nurse may take an assignment Nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit Tele/Monitor Techs will interpret, RNs should have some tele awareness Floating Requirements: Yes to other medical surgical areas or units with MedSurg patients waiting for a MedSurg bed Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided?: RNs: Navy Blue How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2 days Additional Details ACLS Preferred, BLS Department: Med Tele / Ortho RN - 4th Floor North & South Have mechanical lifts in every other room Big focus on hourly rounding and responsiveness This unit typically has multiple discharged and admissions in one day Nurses are successful on this unit when they can manage the busyness of the day, have good attendance, are a team player, friendly, compassionate, and cares about patients first They serve patients of all cultures on this unit including Spanish, Karen, Burmese Radius Rule: 50 miles RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions
