Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $2,293 per week

Certification Details BLS required ACLS preferred Job Details Facility in Eastern Nebraska is looking for several traveling Med-Surg nurses. The hospital is looking for both day and night shift coverage. The shift will be twelve hours, 13-26 Week Contacts, 36-48 hour guarantee's. Job Requirements Department: Med Tele / Ortho RN - 4th Floor North & South Common diagnosis / Types of patients: MedSurg/Tele- joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbation, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia, failure to thrive Are RN's required to titrate drips?: Heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine Common titratable &/or set rate drips: PCA pumps RN's should have some tele awareness Schedule Information The shift will be twelve hours Travelers will be scheduled. Will approve a limited amount of block scheduling Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend Holiday Requirements: 2-3 Holidays from Thanksgiving to New Years. Floating Requirements: Yes to other medical surgical areas or units with MedSurg patients waiting for a MedSurg bed Self-scheduling is allowed. 0630-1900, 1830-0700 Unit Specific Information Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes- 1:10-20 Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RN's required to read their own strips?
