Middleware Engineer

Perform requirements gathering, analysis, installation of MQ Series and Message broker on windows and Linux environments. Perform UNIX scripting including Shell and Perl to automate the daily tasks. Use Ansible playbook automation and YAML. Develop automation solutions leveraging shell Scripts to increase the operational efficiency. Review test plans, results analysis, capacity planning guides; develop innovative solutions to improve performance engineering effectiveness. Perform troubleshooting of JVM memory issues including Java Heap memory by monitoring garbage collection with Verbose GC, JVM out of memory (OOM) and server related issues on application servers and webservers. Automate the builds and deployment using Jenkins to reduce human error and speed up production processes. Implement Jenkins setup for the lower environments to sync up with the DEV and UAT environments. Maintain build profiles in Team Foundation Server and Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline. Manage and administer JIRA/Confluence/Bitbucket add-ons, plugins and extensions. Document results of JIRA workflows and process audits. Develop guides and documentation for JIRA features and best practices. Lead validation activities for the assigned sub-modules for all types of testing; perform root-cause analysis of any issues that arise post-implementation and perform issue resolution. Perform administration and maintenance experiences of continuous integration build engines with Jenkins. Use Docker components including Docker Engine, Hub, Machine, creating Docker Images, Docker Registry and handling multiple images. Virtualize servers using Docker for test environments and dev-environments; perform configuration automation using Docker containers. Work Location: Various unanticipated work locations throughout the United States; relocation may be required. Must be willing to relocate. Minimum Requirements: Education: Master Computer Science or Information Technology Experience: One (1) year
