Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Emergency Medicine in Florida

Job Title: Emergency Medicine Physician Job Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Duration: 12 months Shift: 7 AM - 6 PM; 11 AM - 10 PM; 8 PM - 7 AM; 9 PM - 1 PM (Various shifts available, including weekends) Guaranteed Hours: N/A Experience: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine License: N/A Certifications: Emergency Core Procedures and Moderate Sedation Must-Have: Experience in high-acuity cases Job Description: - Provide emergency medical care in a high-acuity emergency department - Treat a patient population primarily consisting of adults and cardiac stroke cases, with less focus on pediatrics and OB/GYN - Handle common cases such as cardiac, neurological, and orthopedic emergencies - Collaborate with a comprehensive support team, including advanced practice providers, paramedics, a sepsis team, stroke team, respiratory therapists, and various surgical and medical specialists - Utilize a Teleneuro Robot for stroke cases - Manage shift work without on-call responsibilities - Conduct follow-ups by signing out or admitting patients as necessary - Work alongside one or two emergency medicine physicians per shift in a 28-bed emergency department Please note that this facility is a comprehensive stroke center but not a trauma center. Annual emergency department admissions are approximately 35,000.
