Apply for Job Job ID 74051 Location Davis Full/Part Time Full Time Add to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Job Summary Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Marketing and Communications leads all marketing, communications and audience development for the Mondavi Center. The position oversees two aligned departments, Marketing and Ticket Office, and, as such, is responsible for building and maintaining a positive, consistent expression of the Mondavi Center brand in all communications. The Director of Marketing and Communications develops and maintains innovative strategies to deepen relationships with varied audience constituencies, while cultivating participation and understanding of artists and artforms among regional audiences. Doing this work successfully will drive customer loyalty and meet or exceed earned revenue goals. The Marketing Department provides creative support for multiple Mondavi Center departments, and is a key partner in the Development department's year-round fundraising work. The Director of Marketing and Communications plays a leadership role in multiple cross-functional teams focusing on maximizing revenue and growing audience and donor loyalty. The Director of Marketing and Communications is a key member of the Mondavi Center's leadership team and advises the Executive Director on communications strategy, setting and meeting revenue goals and other topics as needed. This position also serves as an organizational representative for UC Davis' Communications Coordinating Council and Emergency Communications teams. No minimum educational requirements. Experience directing marketing, public relations and ticketing for a performing arts organization in a complex media market. Financial management experience within the context of event marketing and ticket sales, including resource allocation, budget generation and revenue projection Experience with the conceptualization, writing, editing, design and production of complex printed materials such as brochures and annual reports; web sites and e-mail marketing campaigns. Experience in market research, campaign tracking and response analysis. Analytical and presentation skills to interpret data and prepare conclusions and recommendations based upon information collected. Outstanding organizational, time management and analytical skills and the skills to independently manage multiple activities and initiatives. Project management skills to take complex, significant projects from conception to fruition in a timely and effective manner. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with a culturally diverse workforce and constituencies. Knowledge of the major artists and art forms in theater, dance, music, and spoken word from a variety of cultures. Familiarity with the academic, arts industry, media, philanthropic and public aspects of the environment within which the Mondavi Center operates. Verbal and written communication, presentation, and public speaking skills; and skills to represent the organization in public forums.
