Job Description: We are looking for a seasoned and highly motivated General Manager (GM) to oversee all staff, budgets, and operations of our boutique lifestyle hotel located in Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida. The ideal GM will be a strategic leader and effervescent figurehead who can drive exceptional team performance and create a memorable guest experience in alignment with our hotel's mission, vision, and values. Responsibilities: 1. Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, property maintenance, food and beverage, finance, sales, and marketing. 2. Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures. 3. Produce and manage budgets, financial plans, and forecasts, evaluating performance against strategic objectives. 4. Monitor hotel performance, developing and implementing strategies to improve key metrics and optimize profitability. 5. Recruit, motivate, and mentor a high-caliber staff, guiding their professional development and fostering a positive work culture. 6. Demonstrate exemplary customer service to ensure guest satisfaction, swiftly resolving any issues that may arise. 7. Work with sales and marketing to develop strategies that enhance brand visibility, grow market share, and maximize revenue. 8. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies, including health and safety regulations. 9. Liaise with external parties and stakeholders, including suppliers, the local community, and the media, to ensure the hotel maintains a positive market presence. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related field; Master’s degree is a plus. 2. Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager, or similar role, in the boutique or luxury hospitality sector. 3. In-depth understanding of hotel management procedures, financial and facilities management; familiarity with hotel management software is preferred. 4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team. 5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 6. Strong business acumen, with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. 7. Solid problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to make high-pressure decisions. 8. Willingness to work as needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
