The Details The Manager, People Operations is the leader of the RADZ People Operations team and will report to the RADZ Managing Director. Overview of Opportunity The Manager, People Operations connects employees with the resources they need to be successful at RADZ. The Manager is responsible for developing and ensuring effective functions of the People Operations team including staffing, total rewards, and administrative functions. This role strategizes about how to enhance RADZ’s work environment through the implementation of HR programs and works collaboratively to build consensus and commitment in support of these programs. What You’ll Do Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the People Operations department, including administrative functions, staffing, total rewards, and employee development. Collaborate with leadership to contribute insights and recommendations for the development of the organization’s goals and strategy. Ensure departmental objectives follow organizational goals along with federal, state, and local legal requirements. Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute acquisition strategies for hiring and talent pipeline development. Oversee, procure and manage relationships with benefits vendors to ensure optimal service delivery and alignment with organizational goals. Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent. Monitor the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance. Review employee data, investigate complaints, and manage the creation of appropriate programs and processes used across departments. Collaborate with department managers to plan and deliver employee training programs, give employees feedback, ensure compliance with labor laws, and facilitate performance management including disciplinary actions. Provide coaching to members of the People Operations team and leadership team members to manage employees and cultivate the ideal RADZ culture. Responsible for safety and risk management functions. Maintain and apply knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Develop, prepare, and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data. Provide advice on managing employees to cultivate the ideal RADZ culture. About You (Requirements) Proven experience leading and developing teams. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Exceptional communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal skills, and ethical mindset. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems. Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution. Working knowledge of HR policies and systems. Detail-oriented and organizational nature. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to provide thoughtful and strategic recommendations for employee success. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees. Extras we love Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational psychology, or related field; advanced degree in Business or a related field is strongly desired. 6-10 years of relevant work experience in a progressive management position. PHR, SHRM-CP, or other related certification preferred. Prior payroll and benefits management experience preferred. Experience with compensation administration tools, such as Compease. Experience with start-up organizations. Experience in Mergers and Acquisitions. Experience working in a PEO. Physical Requirements Predominantly operates in an office environment in a stationary position. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computer, calculator, keyboard, mouse, and phone.
