Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Buyer/Planner to join our team. This role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, components, equipment, supplies, and services essential to the company’s operations. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor negotiation skills, a deep understanding of inventory management, and the ability to ensure compliance with industry standards, including FDA medical device regulations and ISO requirements. Key Responsibilities: Material Procurement: Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, components, and services needed for production and day-to-day operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and on-time delivery. Capacity Planning & Inventory Management: Lead capacity planning, demand forecasting, and coordinate with relevant departments to optimize inventory levels and ensure continuous availability of necessary materials. Purchase Requisition & Order Management: Generate and review purchase requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company processes and policies. Vendor Selection & Negotiation: Identify and select vendors who meet the company's quality, cost, and delivery expectations. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success. Inventory & System Validation: Oversee inventory management system validations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in tracking materials and supplies. Quality & Compliance: Ensure all purchased goods and services meet the company’s quality standards and comply with FDA medical device regulations and ISO standards. Stock Level Monitoring: Regularly monitor inventory levels to maintain appropriate stock and avoid disruptions in production. Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, pricing, and vendor contracts. Provide reports on procurement activities as needed. Collaboration & Vendor Performance: Work closely with the receiving and finance teams to reconcile purchase discrepancies, address variances, and resolve any supplier-related issues. Monitor and provide feedback on vendor performance. Continuous Improvement & Special Projects: Assist in maintaining and improving the company’s quality management system. Take on additional duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications: Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop strategic vendor relationships. Knowledge of FDA medical device regulations and ISO standards is preferred. Experience with inventory management systems and materials planning. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
