We are looking to hire an HR Generalist for one of our clients. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of human resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. They will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations. From processing employment documents to maintaining staff records and assisting in recruitment processes, the HR Generalist will contribute to the recruitment, development, and retention of staff. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications. Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Process all staff promotions, demotions, and terminations in the HRIS/Payroll system. Assist in the management of leave programs. Ensure that job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations. Assist in the quarterly evaluation process. Engage in continuous learning and development to improve personal skills and to be better positioned to support the organization’s objectives. Perform other such tasks and assignments as directed by management/leadership of organization. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources generalist role. Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures. Good knowledge of employment/labor laws and regulations. Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems will be a plus. Excellent communication and people skills. Aptitude in problem-solving and conflict resolution. Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with program management software. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Works primarily out of the local office. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Prolonged sitting required, with ability operate office equipment which may include heavy lifting, bending, and standing. Requires ability to always handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner. If required to make patient visits, prolonged standing and walking is required, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs, and to make quick decisions and resource acquisition.
