Trims Developer - Lead

We are seeking a Senior Trims Developer to lead the design and development of innovative, high-quality trims such as zippers, shoelaces, snaps, buttons, and drawstrings. The role combines technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and strategic collaboration to deliver exceptional trims solutions for apparel and footwear products. Key Responsibilities Develop core and seasonal trim palettes, ensuring alignment with design aesthetics and quality standards. Research market trends and consumer insights to drive innovation in trims development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, product development, sustainability, and sourcing, to deliver impactful material solutions. Build and execute strategic roadmaps for key trims projects, ensuring timely completion. Maintain a strong understanding of garment applications and material performance requirements. Provide technical expertise in trims development, including techniques, technologies, and manufacturing processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Textile Science, Apparel Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field (or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree). Minimum 3 years of experience in material development, product development, or design, with a focus on trims . Proficient in trims techniques, technologies, and garment applications. Strong connection to market trends and consumer insights, with a balance of creativity and technical skills. Experience with strategic planning, multi-tasking, and navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global partners. Preferred Experience Background in the performance, outdoor, or activewear industry. Previous experience with companies specializing in technical apparel or footwear.
